Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output natural speech by means of synthesized speech in a vehicle. SOLUTION: The speech output system includes: an onboard device 50 including a speech output function; and a server 10 for supplying a speech data for expressing the synthesized speech. The onboard device 50 requests the speech data for expressing the synthesis speech of a specified phrase to the server 10. At the same time, when the speech data for expressing the synthesized speech of the specified phrase is requested, the server 10 supplies the data to a requested place by the server 10. Then, the onboard device 50 obtains the data supplied from the server and makes it usable. In such a speech output system, natural speech is output by the synthesized speech even in the onboard device 50 with few resources, by using the server 10 outside of the vehicle, capable of managing phoneme/piece data of much larger capacity than the onboard device 50.
