IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR MEASURING COLOR SHIFT AMOUNT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a color shift amount with high accuracy, in a tandem type image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The control means 100 of a color laser printer 1 includes: a pattern formation control means 101 which forms a first toner pattern for adjusting the output level of each color by using each image forming unit; a sensor unit 20 which reads the first toner pattern; and each color output adjustment means 103 which performs an adjustment for making the output levels of each color almost coincident with each other, on the basis of the output of the sensor. The pattern formation control means 101 forms a second toner pattern for detecting a color shift, on the basis of the adjustment results of each color output adjustment means 103.
