Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for a cantilever overhanging bridge, which dispense with the operation of inversion of a newly-constructed bridge girder by virtue of light self-weight, which can also adapt to the case of the curve and inclination of the bridge girder, and which can also be employed for the mounting of an accessory such as a scaffold. SOLUTION: This apparatus for the cantilever overhanging the bridge includes: a pair of supporting rails 12 which are installed at both the width-direction ends of the existing bridge girder 1 and longitudinally elongated along the top surface of the existing bridge girder 1; an erection frame 14 which is installed on the top surface of the existing bridge girder 1 positioned at a front end, and which has a rectangular opening enabling the longitudinal passage of the newly-constructed bridge girder 2; a pair of longitudinal beam members 16 which are fixed to the erection frame 14 above the rectangular opening and elongated ahead of the front end of the existing bridge girder from the back end of the erection frame; a pair of width-direction beam members 18 which are elongated in a width direction below the longitudinal beam member 16 and suspended at two points with the longitudinal beam member 16, respectively, and which can move longitudinally; and one or more monorail hoists 20 which are suspended on the width-direction beam member 18, and which can move in the width direction along the width-direction beam member 18.
