TYING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tying device forming a space between a driven roller and a driving roller without applying any force thereto, and allowing an operator to insert a tying tool into the space by using both hands. SOLUTION: The tying device has a feed roller 5k for holding a twist tie in cooperation with a feed knurling tool 5m, and a toggle clamp mechanism 5c of a twist tie feeding mechanism 5 abuts/separates the feed roller 5k on/from the feed knurling tool 5m with a compression spring 5f interposed therebetween by vertically moving a spring seat 5i for supporting the compression spring 5f to urge the feed roller 5k. Thus, when the toggle clamp mechanism 5c is unclamped, the urging force of the compression spring 5f is not applied to the feed roller 5k. Accordingly, a space is formed between the feed roller 5k and the feed knurling tool 5m without any force applied thereto. Since the operator can insert the twist tie into the space by using both hands, therefore, the operability of inserting the twist tie is enhanced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
