METHOD OF TREATING COMBUSTION EXHAUST GAS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress exhausting dioxins by an memory effect, and appropriately control using amounts of cooling medium and absorbing agent powder without overusing even if a concentration of the dioxins are greatly varied, in a method of treating for suppressing the dioxins in exhaust gas from a combustion furnace. SOLUTION: When a solid material is collected by bringing the exhaust gas from the combustion furnace 1 into contact with the cooling medium in a gas cooling device 3 to cool, and with the absorbing powder in a dust collecting device 4, a concentration of a high volatility organic halogen compound and a concentration of a low volatility organic halogen compound in the exhaust gas exhausted from the dust collecting device are simultaneously measured by an organic halogen compound measurement instrument 6, a varying amount ΔH by time of a concentration of the high volatility organic halogen compound, a varying amount ΔL by time of a concentration of the low volatility organic halogen compound, and a varying amount Δ(L/H) by time of a ratio of the concentration of the low volatility organic halogen compound to the concentration of the high volatility organic halogen compound are calculated, and using amounts of the cooling medium and the absorbing agent powder are controlled depending on the varying amounts.
