PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device capable of acquiring content desired by a user from an external device by an intuitive operation, and to provide an external device capable of transmitting content to such a portable terminal device. SOLUTION: When communication between a camera 100 and a PC 200 is established, an image displayed in a display part 104 of the camera 100 is transmitted to the PC 200 as a reference image. Subsequently, when a movement change detecting part 107 detects vibrations of the camera 100, the camera 100 transmits an image request signal to the PC 200. Upon receiving the image request signal, a control part 201 of the PC 200 retrieves images similar to the reference image and returns the retrieved images to the camera 100.
