Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) production promoter having high HGF production promoting effects. SOLUTION: The HGF production promoter contains, as an active ingredient, an extract obtained from genus Taraxacum plants. The HGF production promoter, as an active ingredient, contains a compound having a skeleton expressed by general formula (1), wherein R1to R6each independently represent H or a 1-3C alkyl; and X1and X2each independently represents an ethylene group or vinylene group.
