Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating easy to handle, having self-bonding properties and having a photocatalytic action stable for a long period. SOLUTION: Titanium oxide or/and titanium hydroxide is reduced into ultrafine particles and dispersed in an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble alcohol to prepare the coating having photocatalytic function. The coating is applied to various base materials by a method such as spraying, coating and dipping by applying the self-bonding properties of the titanium compound particles contained therein, dried and bonded onto the base material surface in the state of the ultrafine particles, and this forms the surface having the photocatalytic function stable for a long period of time.
