BOGIE FOR RAILWAY VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bogie for a railway vehicle where a side beam for lowering the floor height of a vehicle is formed by press working. SOLUTION: In the bogie 1 for the railway vehicle, the side beam 1 is formed by welding plate members 22, 23 with respect to a side beam body 21 having a C-shaped cross section obtained by press working from a single piece of sheet material. The side beam includes a straight portion 201 having a flat surface shape with a constant width in the crosstie direction, and a wide width portion 202 having a gradually widened width toward a spring cap portion 8. The side surface shape includes a central portion 203 having a heightened part, an inclined portion 204 having a gradually lowered part and inclined from the central part 203 toward the upper side, and a spring cap portion 205 low in the height and existing in the higher position than the central portion 203. An expansion portion 211 switching from the straight portion 201 to the widened width portion 202 is positioned nearer the central portion 203 than a goose neck portion 210 switching from the inclined portion 204 toward the spring cap portion 205 in the view seen in a rail direction.
