METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR JOINTING INNER LINER FOR HEAVY-DUTY TIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for jointing inner liners, capable of forming a sure joint with a stable strength, decreasing a loss by reducing an area of a jointing part, and attaining an efficient operation. SOLUTION: The method and apparatus for jointing the inner liners for the heavy-duty tire performs the following processes around an extrusion head for the inner liner, and the processes are: an inner liner superposing process for superposing the terminal end part of a first inner liner on the extrusion starting end part of a second inner liner between a plurality of drill-like projections provided in a zigzag shape in the width direction of the inner liner and a plurality of drill-like receiving holes provided opposing the drill-like projections; and a drill-like projection pressing process for pressing a plurality of the drill-like projections to fit into a plurality of the drill-like receiving holes penetrating through the inner liner superposing part superposed in the inner liner superposing process.
