WORKPIECE RECEIVER AND CYLINDRICAL GRINDING MACHINE INCLUDING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece receiver receiving a workpiece to provide high circularity by grinding the workpiece with high accuracy. SOLUTION: This workpiece receiver 5 is provided in a cylindrical grinding machine including a workpiece support mechanism for horizontally supporting the cylindrical workpiece W by support parts provided with a space and a grinding wheel 46 abutting on an outer peripheral surface of the workpiece W. The workpiece receiver 5 is arranged between the support parts of the workpiece support mechanism to rotatably support the workpiece W. The workpiece receiver 5 includes a first receiving member 11 for receiving an outer peripheral surface on a lower side of the workpiece W and a second receiving member 12 for receiving an outer peripheral surface on an opposite side of an abutting side of the grinding wheel 46. The first receiving member 11 is arranged so that an angle α of a normal line of a receiving surface 11a may be 15° to 30° from a vertical surface including an axis of the workpiece W to the grinding wheel 46 side. The second receiving member 12 is arranged so that an angle γ of a normal line of a receiving surface 12a may be 5° to 20° from a horizontal surface including the axis of the workpiece W to a lower side.
