Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vacuum cleaner which can suppress the generation of an odor with time. SOLUTION: A pleat filter body 90 is arranged on the downstream side of a dust collecting chamber on a main airflow channel, and also, on the upstream side of a separation chamber on a subsidiary airflow channel. A switching section which makes the main airflow channel communicated with the suction side of an electric blower when cleaning is performed, and makes the subsidiary airflow channel communicating with the suction side of the electric blower when the cleaning is completed is installed. The pleat filter 106 of the pleat filter body 90 has a PTFE layer 106a on the most upstream side, and has a highly efficient uptake layer 106c which can capture dust and dirt of 0.15 μm by 99.9995% or higher on the downstream side of the PTFE layer 106a. At the same time, the pleat filter 106 has a plurality of polyester layers 106d and 106e on the most downstream side. Fine dust or the like which generates the odor is captured by the pleat filter 106 on the suction side of the electric blower, and also, dust and dirt captured by the pleat filter 106 are removed when the airflow channel is switched to the subsidiary airflow channel. Fine dust or the like which generates the odor is made hard to reside with time in each airflow channel, and the generation of the odor with time can be suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
