Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exothermic body excellent in an exothermic efficiency, thermal conductivity, heat resistance, mechanical properties, abrasion resistance or the like, and applicable for technical fields such as a snow melting system. SOLUTION: The exothermic body is provided with a glass fiber-made grid base cloth 5, an electric conductive film 6 and an insulation layer 7, and the glass fiber-made grid base cloth is an assembly of flat straps of a width 5 to 30 mm made of a combination of a plurality of glass fibers, in a lattice form of 10 to 100 mm in longitudinal and horizontal dimensions in each opening part, and the electric conductive film contains in a bonding resin 40 to 90 mass% of an electric conductive filler composed of graphite of a mean particle diameter of 5 to 200 μm and electric conductive carbon black of a mean particle diameter of 10 to 100 μm, and a mass ratio of the graphite against the conductive carbon black in the conductive filler is 0.1 to 10, and the insulation layer is a heat resistant polymer layer which does not melt and is undecomposable in a condition of a temperature of 150°C held for 5 hours continuously.
