VARIABLE FOCAL LENGTH LENS SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high variable power and downsizing without complicating a lens barrel structure. SOLUTION: A variable focal length lens system includes, in order from an object side: a first lens group G1 having positive refractive power; a second lens group G2 having negative refractive power; a third lens group G3 having positive refractive power; a fourth lens group G4 having negative refractive power; a fifth lens group G5 having negative refractive power; and a sixth lens group G6 having positive refractive power; wherein the fourth lens group is fixed in the optical axis direction, the third lens group and the fifth lens group can be integrally moved in the optical axis direction, an aperture diaphragm S is arranged closely to the third lens group, and the sixth lens group is moved in the optical axis direction in accordance with the change of object position.
