Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate finding out which device out of a mobile device and an onboard navigation device is in an operating state. SOLUTION: The navigation system includes: the mobile device which includes a first image controller, a first communication part, and a first display part for displaying a first image; and the onboard navigation device which includes a second image controller, a second communication part, and a second display part for displaying a second image. Corresponding to the matter that one of the first and second communication parts transmits information to the other of the first and second communication parts, a corresponding one of the first and second image controllers allows erasure of a third image displayed being superposed over a corresponding one of the first and second images, and the other of the first and second image controllers allows the third image to be displayed being superposed over the other of the first and second images, in the onboard navigation device, a navigation system, and a method of controlling the same.
