Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical substance detecting element capable of detecting a specific substance with high selectivity and high sensitivity and capable of achieving the miniaturization of a chemical substance detector and the shortening of a measuring time, a chemical substance detector and a manufacturing method of the chemical substance detecting element. SOLUTION: The chemical substance detecting element contains a carbon nano structure 74 of which the surface is modified by protein selectively reacting with the specific substance, for example, nitrile hydratase (NHase) 72 selectively reacting with nitrogen monoxide (NO) 76 through an amide bond.
