SHIFT LEVER DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of collision sound at shift lock and at release of shift lock. SOLUTION: The shift lever device is provided with a shift lever 1; a projection part 7a of a lock rotation body 7 provided on the shift lever 1 and capable of being advanced/retreated between a shift lock position for suppressing movement from P position to the other position and a shift lock release position for allowing it; a spring 8 for urging the projection part 7a to the shift lock position; a plunger 9 for abutting it on the projection part 7a when the shift lever 1 is positioned at the P position and retreating the projection part 7a from the shift lock position to the shift lock release position; a stopper part 5 projected/formed toward a lock track 4a where the projection part 7a is moved and suppressing the projection part 7a from being moved; a pressure-contact spring 11 for urging the plunger 9 toward the projection part 7a and having smaller urging force than urging force of the spring 8; and a solenoid 10 for advancing the plunger 9 and moving the projection part 7a to the shift lock release position.
