Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making a GCA hybrid having a low caffeine content, a taste and a flavor for drinks, which has been difficult to create, to provide the GCA hybrid, and to provide a food, such as a coffee drink, having a low caffeine content, a taste and a flavor for drinks, which have been difficult to produce. SOLUTION: The method for making the GCA hybrid includes a process for hybridizing a C.Eugenioides with a C.canephora to produce a GC hybrid, a process for doubling the number of the chromosomes of the GC hybrid to produce a tetraploid GC hybrid, and a process for hybridizing the tetraploid GC hybrid with C.Arabica to produce the GCA hybrid.
