Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jitter buffer control method and apparatus for dynamically controlling a buffer so as to reduce delay by automatically measuring a magnitude of jitter, that occurs inside a network, even without measuring beforehand jitter that occurs on each of networks. SOLUTION: A communication apparatus includes: a jitter buffer unit 8 that writes and reads packets transmitted via a packet network 6 from a transmission node 2; a clock correction unit 9 that obtains a difference from differential information of a packet received before the packet as an inter-packet jitter on the basis of differential information between time stamp information during reception of the packet on a receiving side and time stamp information attached to the packet during transmission of the packet by a transmission node, and obtains, as a transmission frequency, a frequency by multiplying a reference frequency by a value dividing a transmission interval with a value adding the inter-packet jitter to the transmission interval; and a PLL unit 10 that receives frequency information from the clock correction unit and generates a clock of the frequency. A scheduler unit 11 uses a frequency from the PLL unit as a transmission frequency to transmit a packet from the jitter buffer unit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
