SELF-PROPELLED PAVING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always obtain the proper tension of an endless chain by easily and quickly adjusting the distance between sprockets during the folding of a charging feeder and the operations. SOLUTION: In this self-propelled paving machine, the charging feeder 18 is stretched between the plurality of sprockets 19, 19, and conveys a paving material by running the endless chain 20 driven by the power of an engine. A part of the charging feeder on the longitudinal upper end side can be lowered by folding downward. The overall height of the paving machine can be reduced by the lowering. The paving machine is provided with a hydraulic cylinder 36 for adjusting the endless chain which can secure the looseness of the endless chain 20 by retracting a rod to reduce the distance between the sprockets 19, 19 when the charging feeder 18 is folded, and secures the predetermined tension of the endless chain 20 by extending the rod to increase the distance between the sprockets 19, 19 during the operations.
