ONBOARD HANDS-FREE SPEAKING DEVICE, AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE ONBOARD HANDS-FREE SPEAKING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an onboard hands-free speaking device capable of achieving power saving without interposing any complicated work. SOLUTION: An onboard hands-free speaking device 10 is mounted on a vehicle and enables a hands-free talk via a cellular phone by establishing a wireless communication link to perform voice communication with the cellular phone. A communicable area database 35 stores a communicable area, wherein communication with a base station can be performed using the cellular phone, and a control unit 20 detects whether or not the vehicle enters the communicable area. In a case where it is detected that the vehicle enters the communicable area when the wireless communication link with the cellular phone is not yet established, the wireless communication link is established with the cellular phone to enable the hands-free talk.
