SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE, CELL LIBRARY, AND DESIGN METHOD OF SEMICONDUCTOR INTEGRATED CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional cell with a reduced period required for circuit design, to provide a semiconductor device including the same, and to provide a design method of the semiconductor integrated circuit using the same. SOLUTION: The semiconductor device includes first and second functional cells 3a and 3b providing the same logical circuit function, and having electrical characteristics different from each other. The first functional cell 3a includes a first external connection wire. The second functional cell 3b includes a second external connection wire. The shape of the outer periphery of the first functional cell 3a is generally identical to that of the second functional cell 3b. A position in a plane of the first functional cell 3a of the first external connection wire is generally identical to that in a plane of the second functional cell 3b of the second external connection wire.
