LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which suppresses deterioration in reliability while suppressing variance in chromaticity by arranging a phosphor in a layer of nearly uniform thickness nearby a bottom surface of a translucent resin without applying vibrations to a base filled with the translucent resin containing the phosphor. SOLUTION: A light emitting device 1 includes a light emitting element 2 mounted on terminal plates 42 and 43 of a lead frame 4, a package 3 on which the light emitting element 2 is mounted using a bottom surface 311 of a recessed portion 31 as a mounting portion, and a resin sealing portion 5 formed by charging the translucent resin material containing the phosphor 51 in the recessed portion 31 and curing it. The package 3 is formed such that an inner peripheral wall surface 312 of the recessed portion 31 is a slope S having an acute angle between the whole wall surface and the bottom surface 311.
