Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk type image pickup device which continues recording operation even when slow and long-distance rotation is applied in the horizontal direction. SOLUTION: The disk type image pickup device using a disk 10 for recording a captured image includes: a gyro sensor 60 which detects angle velocity of the image pickup device; a means 40 for detecting rotation angle velocity of a disk motor 30 rotating the disk; a means 70 for calculating gyro moment applied to the disk from gyro sensor output and disk rotation angle velocity-inertia moment; a means 80 for calculating tilt of the disk from gyro moment; a means 90 for calculating tilt of an optimum objective lens to be corrected from tilt variation amount of the disk; and an optical pickup 20 having a tilt correcting mechanism tilting the objective lens. When rotation in the direction vertical to a disk rotation axis is applied to the image pickup device, influence of tilt variation of the disk caused by applied rotation is reduced by the tilt correcting mechanism.
