INFORMATION GENERATION DEVICE FOR TOUCH PANEL AND CONTROL METHOD FOR SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read a value needed by a processor by one time of processing when a total bit number of press information is larger than a processing bit number of the processor. SOLUTION: When respective pieces of 12-bit information X, Y representing press positions in X, Y-axis directions of a touch panel and respective pieces of 8-bit information Z1, Z2 that are pressure information used for derivation of pressure of the touch panel are detected as total 40-bit press information and when the processing bit number of the processor processing the press information is 32 bits, this information generation device for the touch panel generates any package information of first-fourth package information respectively comprising a digital value of 32 bits or below from the press information according to a request of the processor. According to the request of the processor, package information including information Z that is a difference between the information Z1 and the information Z2 such as the third package information or package information including information Z1h, Z2h that is respectively upper 4 bits of the information Z1, Z2 such as the fourth package information can be also generated.
