Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the degradation of filming in a photoreceptor drums, which is a developer image carrier, in printing with age. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the developer image carriers for bearing developer images formed with developers; a transfer means, disposed in contact with the corresponding developer image carrier, for forming an image by bringing a transfer medium into contact with the developer image carrier and transferring the developer image to the transfer medium; and a control means for rotating the developer image carrier and the transfer means at different peripheral speeds during an image non-formation period.
