Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument for vehicles capable of simplifying its manufacture and reducing cost loads by further improving the measuring instrument for vehicles for mounting a different stepping motor depending on its type and enabling control of the stepping motor by single control software. SOLUTION: The measuring instrument for vehicles includes: a display panel having an index section of vehicle information; a pointer for indicating the index section; a drive means 2b for driving the pointer; and a control means 2a for controlling the drive means 2b. The control means 2a discriminates the type of the drive means 2b to be mounted, selects one of a plurality of pieces of scheduler time to be set according to the type of the drive means 2b, and executes the control of the drive means 2b with the selected scheduler time as processing unit time.
