METHOD OF CLEANING MAGNETIC FILTER DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of cleaning a magnetic filter device for removing magnetic particles from an alkaline cleaning solution having been used in cleaning a magnetic material e.g. a steel plate. SOLUTION: The magnetic filter device is attached to a circulation tank for circulation use of a waste solution in a line tank. The waste solution flowing from the line tank into the circulation tank is passed through the magnetic filter in the magnetic filter container to remove the magnetic particles and returned to the circulation tank. The magnetic filter device is cleaned by dropping the waste solution in the magnetic filter container, with the magnetic filter kept in an excited state, subjecting the magnetic filter to pre-cleaning, returning the cleaning solution after the pre-cleaning to the circulation tank, switching off the excitation of the magnetic filter and back-washing the magnetic filter, and recovering the back-washing solution after the back-washing, instead of returning to the circulation tank.
