PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perform printing on a label without leaking a required amount of information without deficiency and omission. SOLUTION: A plurality of label individuals 14 are stuck to the surface 12a of peeling paper 12, and the back surface 12b has reference marks 86 relevant to sticking positions of the label individuals 14. Reflectivity in parts of the reference marks 85 is different from that in the other part. Regardless of whether the interval between the label individuals is a reference interval, back end edges 85a of the reference marks become chips 15a of the label individuals. The printing processing is controlled on the basis of the back edges of the reference marks. Therefore, a difference in reflectivity is read by a reading sensor from the reference marks printed on the peeling paper surface, a waveform is formed in a pulse wave, and a print start point Pc is determined on the basis of a falling point (or rising point) corresponding to its back end edge.
