Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an over-speed protection system (40) for a gas turbine engine (10) containing a rotor (24). SOLUTION: The over-speed protection system comprises a fuel throttle/cut-off valve (50) coupled to a fuel supply source coupled to a gas turbine engine, a first fuel system interface (56) coupled to the fuel throttle/cut-off valve and constituted to give a signal indicating an over-speed state to the fuel throttle/cut-off valve, a second fuel system interface (58) coupled to the first fuel system interface in series and constituted to give a signal indicating the over-speed state to the fuel throttle/cut-off valve, and a control system (100) identifying the occurrence of an over-speed state and giving a signal corresponding to the occurrence to the first and second fuel system interfaces.
