Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel supporting control system for preventing interference between operation by a driver and motion for keeping a lane by the control system. SOLUTION: In a travel supporting control system 10 with an LDW/LKA system 17 performing travel lane keeping supporting control so that a driver's own vehicle V travels without departing a lane, the system 17 calculates a virtual lane width that is a width of a lane narrowed by an obstacle O detected by an obstacle detection sensor 11, and stops the travel lane keeping supporting control when the calculated virtual lane width W is not wider than a threshold and an avoidance operation by the driver is needed. The system 17 thereby stops the operations of the LDW and the LKA at appropriate timing and the interference between the operation by the driver and the motion for keeping the lane by the control system, is prevented.
