COOLING STRUCTURE FOR CASTING DIE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure for a casting die which can cool a casting die without attaching cooling water to the casting die. SOLUTION: An insert 3 includes: outer faces 9a, 10a, 10c, 11a including the outer face 9a mounted freely attachably/detachably to the lower die body 2 of a die 1 for gravity casting and partitioning a cavity 12 together with the cavity surface 6 of the lower die body 2, the outer face upper part 10a face-contacted with the lower die body 2, the outer face lower part 10c exposed from the lower die body 2 and the outer face 11a; an internal closed space 15; and a fountain pipe mounting hole 13 and an exhaust pipe mounting hole 14 formed at the outer face 11a and communicating the internal closed space 15 with the outer part. A fountain pipe 4 is mounted in the fountain pipe mounting hole 13, and jets cooling water to the internal closed space 15 so as to be fed. An exhaust pipe 5 is mounted in the exhaust pipe mounting hole 14, and exhausts the cooling water jetted from the fountain pipe 4 and made to flow down the inside faces 9b, 10b, 11b of the internal closed space 15 to the outside of the insert 3.
