APPARATUS FOR REGULATING AMOUNT ADDED OF ADDITIVE FOR SIZE PRESS LIQUID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for regulating the amount added of an additive for a size press liquid designed to feed a required amount of the size press liquid for each surface, and make the additive contained in the liquid as an adequate amount because there is a case where the required amount of the size press liquid for coating paper is different between the front and rear sides of the paper. SOLUTION: A surface treating liquid fed from a size liquid diluting tank 13 and the additive fed from an additive receiving tank 20 are separately fed to vibrating screens 9a and 9b of a feeding line for feeding the size press liquid to each of the front and rear sides of the paper P. Flow rate sensors 28d and 29d are installed in feeding passages 14a and 14b for the surface treating liquid which is a paste diluted liquid comprising starches as a main component, and measured signals thereof are sent out to flow rate regulators 28c and 29c. Flow rate sensors 28b and 29b are installed in feeding passages 27a and 27b for the additive, and measured signals thereof are sent out to the flow rate regulators 28c and 29c. The amount of the additive corresponding to the amount of the surface treating liquid is determined with the flow rate regulators 28c and 29c. The opening of regulating valves 28a and 29a is regulated to feed the adequate amount of the additive to the vibrating screens 9a and 9b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
