PAPER FEEDING TRAY AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the overlap feed of long sheets by relaxing a strong push-in force into an apparatus generated to a long sheet front part caused by holding a long sheet rear part in an upward curled state when setting the long sheets. SOLUTION: This paper feeding tray has a first holding member 40 holding the long sheet front part and guiding the long sheet toward a manual insertion feed part 23, and a second holding member for generating reaction for pressing the long sheet toward the manual insertion feed part when holding a face-curled long sheet rear part. The first holding member includes first holding surfaces 42 of flat shape and a reaction buffer part 45 of stepped shape provided in a paper feeding direction intermediate position of the first holding surfaces to curve a suitable part of the long sheet front part.
