ISOMERIZATION CATALYST OF PARAFFINIC HYDROCARBON, ITS PRODUCTION METHOD, AND ISOMERIZATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an isomerization catalyst which is used when a paraffinic hydrocarbon is subjected to isomerization treatment and particularly can isomerize a normal paraffin into an isoparaffin; its production method; and an effective isomerization method of paraffinic hydrocarbon using the catalyst. SOLUTION: The isomerization catalyst of a paraffinic hydrocarbon which is the catalyst the carrier of which is supported with a noble metal component comprises the carrier that is ultra-stable type Y zeolite (USY) and a ratio A/B of a concentration height A at an external surface part to a concentration height B at a central part exceeds 2 in the concentration distribution of a noble metal in the catalyst cross section in electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) measurement.
