ELECTRIC RICE COOKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To softly cook the rice mixed with miscellaneous cereals by improving water absorption of the miscellaneous cereals placed on rice. SOLUTION: An electric rice cooker is provided with: a rice cooker body which holds an inner pot to accommodate rice and water in such a manner that the inner pot can be freely taken out; a heating means to heat the inner pot; and a temperature sensor which detects the temperature of the inner pot. When miscellaneous cereals are placed on the rice in the inner port and cooked, the heating means is controlled so that the temperature in the upper part of the inner pot is kept higher than that in the lower part of the inner pot in the water absorbing process. In this way, the temperature of the miscellaneous cereals placed on rice in the water absorbing process becomes higher, and the water absorption of the miscellaneous cereals becomes better.
