Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply device improved in the reliability and stability of operation by enhancing the accuracy of the detection of overcurrents flowing in switching transistors. SOLUTION: The switching power supply device detects the overcurrent of a PMOS 1 which is the first conductivity-type switching transistor by using first detections parts 5, 6 and 9, and when the PMOS 1 is in an off-state, and also when second detection parts 11, 12 and 13 detect that the overcurrent flows in an NMOS 2 which is the second conductivity-type switching transistor connected to the PMOS 1 in series thereto even if it reaches its on-duty zone, the switching power supply device suppresses the overcurrent by maintaining the off-state without turing on the PMOS 1.
