Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable liquid crystalline composition and an optically anisotropic material which are excellent in light resistance, to provide an optical element which is excellent in light resistance, and to provide an optical head device using the optical element. SOLUTION: The polymerizable liquid crystalline composition includes a compound represented by CH2=CX1-COO-L1-B1-A1-B2-Cy-Cy-B3-A2-B4-L2-OCO-CX2=CH2of 15-60 mass%, a compound represented by CH2=CX3-COO-L3-B5-A3-B6-Cy-B7-A4-B8-R1of 15-30 mass%, and a compound represented by CH2=CX4-COO-L4-B9-Cy-B10-Cy-B11-R2of 25-55 mass%. As a diffraction grating 2 fabricated by using the composition is excellent in lightfastness, it can form an optical head device suitable for increase in capacity by using a blue laser beam as a light source 1.
