Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing sugar chain-extended products which is capable of carrying out a long term continuous production and large scale synthesis by using hollow fiber modules in which animal cells are enclosed. SOLUTION: The method for producing the sugar chain-extended products of long chain alkyl glycosides and derivatives thereof includes: a step (1) for enclosing animal cells in a hollow fiber module and administering a culture solution to the animal cells; a step (2) for administering a non-serum culture solution; and a step (3) for administering a primer solution containing a sugar chain primer comprising a long chain alkyl glycoside and a derivative thereof, in this order. In the method, the amount of the sugar chain primer per unit area of the hollow fiber in the step (3) is 0.5-20 [nmol/cm2]. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
