PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mobile terminal equipment for more highly accurately correcting image quality without depending on only external light, and to provide an image quality correction method. SOLUTION: At the side of mobile terminal equipment 1, data management is performed for color information and luminance information related to a portion (such as a frame around a liquid crystal, a keypad, a battery charger as an accessory, or the like), self-emitted in the mobile terminal equipment 1, and image quality is corrected in combination with environmental light detected by an external light sensor 2, differently from the conventional external light image quality correction, thereby correcting image quality more accurately. When the image quality is corrected, information management is performed internally beforehand regarding the reflection of a mobile shape (key pad design, the tilting angle of the liquid crystal and the keypad) in a liquid crystal area and image quality is corrected on a display area corresponding to the reflection, thereby correcting image quality precisely on each liquid crystal area. Furthermore, handicapped situations (factors being handicapped in sight, field of view or coloring sense) of the handicapped in sight are added to reflection information, thereby suitably correcting image quality specialized for the handicapped in sight.
