Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for changing a battery without interrupting a photographing or playback operation in a video camera which is normally driven by the battery. SOLUTION: The video camera includes a first power supply source by the battery and a second power supply source different from it, and detects and displays the presence of both and the state of a power residual amount, etc. The power source to be used is switched corresponding to the residual amount. When there is a sufficient capacity in the first power supply source, when there is no second power supply source or when the capacity is little, the first power supply source is locked and made undetachable.
