DESKTOP TYPE BOOK DISINFECTION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desktop type book disinfection apparatus conveniently and effectively disinfecting books used by the unspecified majority at libraries, books rental shops and kindergartens. SOLUTION: This desktop type book disinfection apparatus includes: an opening/closing type body 26 having a disinfection chamber 24; a book support stand 42 located in the opening/closing type body; a book fixing means 28 consisting of a pair of book fixing devices 44 and fixing the book with its erected upright posture and its front jacket opened; an air injector 31 connected to an air blower 45 by an air feed line 46 and injecting air toward the root side of paper sheets bundled to the spine of the book; a static electricity generator 32 including an electrostatically charged plate for charging static electricity of the same polarity to the paper sheets of the book, an aroma generator 33 fumigating aroma and passing it to the interior of the disinfection chamber via the air injector; and a control computer 34 controlling the operations of the air blower, the static electricity generator and the aroma generator and connected to an operation panel 52 of the body.
