Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust core having low loss by planarizing the surface of a soft magnetic powder, and performing insulation processing to improve an annealing temperature and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: The dust core includes a soft magnetic powder principally containing iron produced by a water atomizing method, and an insulator for covering the surface of the soft magnetic powder. The soft magnetic powder is subjected to planarization treatment, and pre-molding heat treatment for heating the powder at ≥700°C. Insulation treatment for covering the insulator is executed before or after the pre-molding heat treatment. After the insulation treatment, molding treatment for pressurizing and molding the soft magnetic powder is executed.
