Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retardation film with an adhesive layer which is improved in adhesion between the retardation film made of a polypropylene resin and the adhesive, and to provide an elliptical polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device using the retardation film. SOLUTION: The retardation film with adhesive layer includes the retardation film 20 made of the polypropylene resin, a primer layer 30, and the adhesive layer 40, in this order. The primary layer 30 is made of (a) a copolymer containing a monomer unit derived from a vinyl compound expressed as CH2=CH-R (in the formula, R is a cycloalkyl group, secondary alkyl group, or tert alkyl group), (b) a monomer unit derived from unsaturated carboxylic acids, and (c) a monomer unit derived from a straight-chain ethylenically carbon hydride having a double bond at 1,2-position.
