Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering member support structure for, while increasing a supporting rigidity of a steering column by coupling a dash panel and the steering column in a normal state, releasing the coupling by high operational responsiveness in vehicle frontal collision, and reliably releasing the coupling even when the dash panel is rapidly deformed. SOLUTION: In the steering member support structure, a left side coupling bracket 3 for coupling a steering member 1 and a dash panel 2 is provided with: a post member 31 having a base end portion fixed to the steering member 1; a moving member 32 having a base end portion fixed to the dash panel 2; and a caulked portion 33 caulked to restrict displacement of the post member 31 and the moving member 32 in the front and back directions of a vehicle.
