Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism for fermentatively producing highly pure D-lactic acid at a low culture medium cost without using a colored culture medium, and to provide a fermentation method thereof. SOLUTION: A bacterium belonging to genus Erwinia is cultured in a culture medium prepared by adding a carbon source to a culture medium composition consisting mainly of inorganic ingredients not containing the ingredients of yeast extract and waste molasses without needing an deoxidation treatment such as nitrogen bubbling to fermentatively produce highly pure D-lactic acid.
