VIDEO RECORDER AND VIDEO RECORDING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recorder and the video recording system improving the operating efficiency of a storage unit such as a hard disk for storing images. SOLUTION: A recording frame rate is determined, according to an additional information containing the operation type and the moving speed of a camera 10. The additional information is outputted from the camera 10. If a frame rate of an image outputted from the camera 10 is equal to or more than the determined recording frame rate, the video recorder is controlled to record the image outputted from the camera 10 at the recording frame rate. Since a recording frame rate for recording an image is changed thereby according to the operation type (PAN/TILT, automatic tracking) and the moving speed of the camera 10, the operating efficiency of a storage unit such as a hard disk is improved, compared with the case where recording of images is restricted by a fixed setting.
