METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OF SURFACE MOUNT INDUCTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing of a surface mount inductor, capable of manufacturing a surface mount inductor more reliable than conventionally, without complicating a manufacturing process. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing of a surface mount inductor at least includes a rear electrode layer and a side electrode layer formed by performing press-molding of conductive powder. The method for manufacturing at least includes: a first compact formation process S20 for forming a first compact by supplying conductive powder to a molding space for pre-pressing by using a press-molding die capable of forming a prescribed molding space; a first compact disposition process S30 for disposing the first compact in the molding space so that the flat surface section of the first compact becomes the bottom surface; a second compact formation process S40 for forming a second compact by supplying insulating magnetic powder to the molding space for prepressing while a coil is disposed on the flat surface section of the first compact; and a final press process S60 for performing final pressing, while the second compact is disposed in the molding space.
