PICKUP DEVICE AND ELECTRIC STRINGED INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pickup device and an electric stringed instrument capable of converting original musical sound of the stringed instrument into an electric signal without impairing timbre of the musical sound generated from the stringed instrument, as typified by an erhu. SOLUTION: When attaching an effect device 3 to an erhu, a condenser microphone 339 is arranged at a rear casing 33 of the effect device 3 to face a flower window 223 of the erhu at a slight interval and at a position where the height from an installation surface 311 is lower than the center X of the flower window 223, so that original musical sound of the erhu can be converted into an electric signal, without impairing the timbre of the musical sound of the erhu emitted from the flower window 223.
