Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sugar chain-immobilized polymeric substrate with a high safety and blood compatibility, having a high performance in adsorptive removal ability to a verotoxin, particularly a VT2 type verotoxin with a high toxicity, and to provide a method for producing the same and a medical device using the sugar chain-immobilized polymeric substrate. SOLUTION: The sugar chain-immobilized polymeric substrate is produced by bonding a polymeric substrate having a methylene group in the molecule to a polymeric chain of a repeating unit (A) having bonded sugar chain thereto in an amount of 0.01-1 (μmol/cm2) per unit area of the substrate.
